Intervention centers, also known as early intervention centers or developmental intervention centers, are facilities which conduct programs designed to provide comprehensive and individualized support for individuals, especially children, who may be experiencing developmental delays or disabilities.

At our FIT-IN intervention centers across Selangor, we incorporate a variety of key components which represent the core qualities that we have that are necessary for an excellent early intervention center: a highly trained staff, effective delivery of services, well-designed learning activities, supportive scheduling, and superb communication. Our centers focus on early intervention programs with strategies to address various aspects of a child's development, including physical, cognitive, communication, social, and emotional skills.

1. Assessment and Evaluation: Our team of professionals at our intervention centers conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate a child's developmental milestones, identify areas of delay, and determine appropriate interventions for every child, along with providing a report for parents covering their current skills, developmental milestones, ASD risk and more.
2. Individualized Programs: At our intervention centers, our therapists work with the families and the child to create tailored intervention programs based on the specific needs and comfort of each child. These programs will often involve a combination of therapies and educational strategies.
3. Therapeutic Services: At FIT-IN various therapeutic services are offered, such as speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, sensory therapy, and behavioral therapy. These therapies aim to enhance different aspects of a child's development.
4. Family Involvement: We recognize the importance of the family in a child's development, so we involve parents and caregivers in the intervention process by providing guidance, training and support for them to reinforce their child's learning at home.
5. Transition Support: As children progress, we help assist with the transition to other educational settings, such as preschools or mainstream schools, ensuring continuity of support.
6. Collaboration with Professionals: At our intervention centers, we have a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychologists, special educators, and therapists, to provide comprehensive care for your child's every need.
7. Sessions: Research states that effective early intervention requires a consistent and steady schedule of services. A child who receives weekly services will make greater gains because they will have more opportunities to learn and work on their skill development. Because of this, we provide a minimum of two-hour long sessions on a weekly basis. However, the frequency of this will vary based on the individualized assessments and needs of the child.
8. Communication: Communication between our team and the child's parents is also crucial in better understanding the different factors that may influence the child's behavior at home or in school. With our constant updates on the child's progress to the parents, they can also rest easy knowing their child is in good hands along with letting them know about adjustments to the therapies.
